“The only limits to the possibilities in your life tomorrow are the buts you use today.” – Les Brown
We’ve given it some thought. We know that it’s what we want. We know how to get it.
This sometimes happens. We think that it’s OK to put off a pressing matter if there’s other things to do. We can make a list of 100 great things we did but…
If the main, urgent, important thing is not on that list? It ain’t OK.
Some of you might remember the post “Is The Baby On Fire?”
I realize that what I said it can be used as an excuse not to put too much effort into Q1.
It’s not as easy as throwing a bucket of water over the baby and saying: “Phew, that was a close one!” and then go do the stuff in Q2. You need to make sure the baby is OK!
The quality and care should not suffer as a result. There may however be constraints in time, and we can only do so much with the time alloted. That’s why we need to make sure that we don’t have too much stuff in Q1. If we do, the quality of every one of those tasks will suffer.
Some quotes to get us out of our comfort zone!
“Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.” – Brian Tracy
“A scholar who cherishes the love of comfort is not fit to be deemed a scholar.” – Lao Tzu
“The superior man thinks always of virtue; the common man thinks of comfort.” – Confucius
“The comfort zone is the great enemy to creativity; moving beyond it necessitates intuition, which in turn configures new perspectives and conquers fears.” – Dan Stevens
